The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

If you have a scheduled appointment or other business at the MTF, please verify with your provider or applicable office within the MTF to ensure there are no changes in schedule. To learn how the lapse in appropriations affects your TRICARE benefit, visit www.tricare.mil/shutdown

MHS GENESIS transition (electronic service record)

By Yan Kennon

Attn. Patients,
As we transition to a new electronic health record, we have collaborated with Humana and Physicians Group Services, Primary Care providers within the local network, to ensure access to care needs for primary healthcare services.  If an appointment is unavailable at the Naval Hospital, patients will be offered a referral to Physicians Group Services which has many locations throughout our geographic area.  Please continue to call our Centralized Appointment line at 904-542-4677 and the Naval Hospital Staff will assist you with this process.  Active Duty family members and retirees and their families do not need a referral for urgent care visits.  Active Duty are able to call the Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-TRICARE (1-800-874-2273) to obtain an urgent care referral.  Thank you for your understanding and support during this transition.

Don't forget to keep your family's information up-to-date in DEERS.
